Here at the Smith School of Business at Queen's University, Orientation Week is more than simply familiarizing students with their surroundings; it is about fully immersing the incoming class into the Commerce family. Orientation Week is a long-standing tradition in the Commerce program, one that lives and breathes in all Commerce students' hearts and minds. With over 100 years of tradition, Smith Commerce Orientation Week is one of the oldest and most elaborate of its kind!

Not only is Smith Commerce Orientation Week an incredible opportunity to learn about the program and meet fellow Commerce students, but it is an experience that is bound to stick with you far beyond your University career. We can't wait to kick off your Smith Commerce experience with the best Orientation Week possible!

Commerce Orientation Week set the foundation for an exceptional university experience. I met so many amazing people who’ve become my closest friends. Being a CEO for two years, I know they have worked tirelessly to provide an orientation everyone is proud to call their own. WelCOMM to the family and the most incredible four years of your life! .

THE FACES OF
ORIENTATION WEEK

Orientation Week would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of the "Bosses," otherwise known as Orientation Leaders. Each Boss is a student leader within the Commerce program excited to lead the incoming class on their Orientation Week journey. In short, the Bosses' role is to connect with Incoming Students and support them in navigating this new and often uncomfortable experience. But more than that, the Bosses build lasting relationships with the incoming class, providing mentorship support for the entirety of each student's four years.
