Bosses embody all that is Smith Commerce. As leaders, mentors, and your soon-to-be friends, the Bosses are here to support your transition into the Smith Commerce Program. With first-year already under their belt, this vibrant and diverse group of 120 will give you the inside scoop on the program and be there to answer all of your questions. With an undeniable passion and allegiance, they have become the essence of the Commerce faculty.
Being a BOSS at Queen’s has truly been one of the most meaningful parts of my time here so far. I remember BOSS orientation so vividly, I started off nervous, but ended up finding a group of people I clicked with instantly. If you’re someone who loves to bring the energy, cares about people feeling included, and wants to have the most unforgettable week ever, I can’t recommend being a BOSS enough!
My first-year Orientation Week was an incredible experience, but stepping into the role of Boss the next year made it even more enjoyable and meaningful. Working alongside the amazing people in my year was honestly such a fun experience where I got to grow not only as an individual but also create life lasting memories. I was more than thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to this program, and inspire the next year of commerce students. Anyone who wants to build lasting friendships and make a real impact, being a Boss is perfect for you!
Being a Boss was definitely one of the most fun and rewarding experiences l've had at Queen's. I got closer with many people in my own year, forming memories throughout pre-week and o-week. I knew that losing my voice on the first day meant that the week was gonna be special. Being able to not only introduce first years to Queen's but also be their mentors was nothing short of an amazing experience! If you're someone who loves to bring the energy, and is looking to make lasting memories, become a Boss!
