With such an incredible four years ahead of you, your journey begins with Smith Commerce Orientation Week!
This year, we are excited to announce that we will be having all IN-PERSON Orientation activities. We are confident this will help aid in facilitating a successful welcoming and transitioning experience for first-year students into the Queen's Community.

Orientation Week will be occurring on September 1, 2, 7 & 8, 2024, following residence move-in on August 31st, 2024.

Orientation Week!
*Due to ongoing supply chain issues, the last day to ensure you receive your preferred "I Like Commerce" Uniform sizing is early August. ALL ORDERS COMPLETED AFTER AUGUST 4th are NOT GUARANTEED TO RECEIVE THEIR PREFERRED SIZING. Individuals that purchase their Uniform after August 4th will still receive it before Orientation Week. However, sizing will be on a first-come-first-serve basis depending on what we have in stock.

The orientation registration fee in conjunction with financing provided by sponsors allows for students to participate in FOUR OFF-CAMPUS EVENTS AND FIVE ON-CAMPUS EVENTS WHICH INCLUDE:

THREE RELATIONSHIP-BUILDING EVENTS
THREE SOCIAL EVENTS
THREE PROVIDED MEALS

The fee also includes the infamous "I Like Commerce" uniform, as well as "COMM '28 Coveralls"

Q: Do you offer a Fee Waiver Program for Orientation Week Activities?
The Smith Commerce Orientation, Week Fee Waiver Program, is coming soon. Students who apply and are approved for a Fee Waiver will receive financial assistance for the Orientation Week Registration fee.
Q: I missed the deadline for the “I Like Commerce” Uniform! What do I do?
Unfortunately, if you did not order your uniform by the deadline of early August, we cannot guarantee that you will receive your preferred size. Individuals that purchase their Uniform after the deadline will still receive it before Orientation Week, however, sizing will be on a first-come-first-serve basis depending on what we have in stock.
Q: Is preferred size guaranteed for Orientation Week Coveralls?
As long as you purchase your Orientation Week coveralls before 11:59 PM EST on August 28th, you will receive them before Orientation Week. Sizing will be on a first-come-first-serve basis, depending what we have in stock, so we encourage you to purchase your Coveralls as soon as possible! This is because, unlike the “I Like Commerce” Uniform, Coveralls are ordered in advance of registration.

Q: Are dietary accommodations offered during Orientation Week?
Meals provided through Smith Commerce Orientation Week will have dietary options catering to your needs. When registering, please specify any dietary restrictions you may have to guarantee that we have meal options available for you.
Q: Can I choose to be in an Orientation group with my friends?
All incoming students are randomly assigned to Orientation groups to encourage building new connections as you join the program. Regardless of what group you are placed in, we guarantee that you will have an incredible experience and the opportunity to get to know countless students throughout Orientation Week!
